The RED exhibition shows at the Kootenay Gallery: Sept 2012 Nov 2012

Since October 2010, RED has been featured in several Ontario galleries and is now headed to the west coast of Canada! RED: a group exhibition by members, past and present, of the Toronto jewellery studio Jewel Envy, will be showing at the Kootenay Gallery of Art, History and Science, 120 Heritage Way Castlegar, BC V1N 4M5, September 21 to November 3, 2012.

Haeckel Haus Co. Concept:  Haeckel Haus concept is the evolution of today’s fashion and décor as the evolution of nature itself. 18-19th Century European botanical nature science lithograph plates of molecular microscopic sea creatures mixed with vintage, aged, sea salt and sun faded textures to create a new creative edge on fashion and interior décor. Haeckel Haus Co. goes to the roots of Ecology itself.

NEW: Take a peek inside the Jewellery Shop, and what camper's made at Ouareau!
Jewellery designer and enamelist Emily Gill is headed to Camp Ouareau,  now in it's 90th year, in Saint-Donat, Quebec. Emily rejoins the staff for her twelfth summer after a 5 year hiatus attending NSCAD University (Halifax) and working as a professional jeweller in downtown Toronto, Ontario.

She will be instructing vitreous enamel on copper and basic jewellery making in French and English in this beautiful lakeside setting as part of the camps integrated crafts program, which includes batik and pottery.

Established in 1922, Camp Ouareau is an all girls residential camp situated in the beautiful Laurentian Mountains of Quebec, Canada. read more

In conjunction with the 2011 Society of North American Goldsmith Conference, a mobile exhibition in an RV turned gallery featuring some of Canada's freshest contemporary jewellers. Jewellers: Andrée Wejsmann, Anna Lindsay MacDonald, Annie Tung, Catherine Allen, Margaret Lim, Micah Adams, Patrycja Zwierzynska, Emily Gill, Sarah Troper. Curated and "driven" by Suzanne Carlsen and Noah Rosen.
